Clone or New Draft

Both “Clone” and “Copy to a New Draft” create an additional page or post by duplicating the content of the existing page or post. They are helpful when creating a new page or post that is similar in content or layout to an existing one. Note: both links perform the same action.

Clone

The Clone button is available in the dashboard Content view of your pages and posts. Simply hover over the name of the page or post, then click the Clone button to make a copy of that specific page or post.

Open

The new, draft page or post will appear in your Content list with the same title and in Draft status. Edit the page to give it a new title and make all further edits.

New Draft

If you have a page or post open, you can make a new draft page using the “Copy to a new draft” button. The button is available in two locations:

1. In the top navigation bar, under “Duplicate Post.”

2. In the Publish box on the upper right-hand side of the screen.

Once you click on “Copy to a new draft,” the new draft page or post will open immediately in the editor. Give the page or post a new title and make all further edits.
